About Ahmed Ahmod

Ahmed Ahmod is The People Performance Strategist, a former ICT sales executive who helps organisations understand the human behaviour underneath business performance. Across more than thirty years, Ahmed progressed through every level of commercial sales leadership, from selling clothing as a teenager in Johannesburg to senior roles in ICT and ultimately executive leadership at Vodafone and Vodacom. That career gave him a practical view of a problem organisations repeatedly misdiagnose: sales failures, service breakdowns, team conflict and communication problems are frequently symptoms of people reading one another incorrectly. Ahmed's central belief is simple: people are not difficult; they are different. He works with leaders, sales teams, customer-facing organisations and managers to recognise behavioural differences before turning them into judgements about character or capability. Ahmed holds lifetime authorisation from Nigel Risner to deliver the Zookeeper Principles internationally and co-authored the African edition of the Zookeeper book. Through Impact Africa-CS, he has worked with more than 56 organisations across sectors including technology, financial services, travel and ICT distribution. His approach combines a memorable behavioural framework with thirty years of commercial operating experience. The animals make the method easy to remember. The real work begins when leaders learn what to do differently because of what they now see. Ahmed has delivered across South Africa, the UAE, Ghana, Eswatini and Zambia.

Key message

People are not difficult. They are different. Human behaviour sits underneath business performance. Nobody has a knowledge problem. They have a pressure problem. People rarely change because they have been given more information. They change when they understand themselves, understand others and take responsibility for how they show up. Misread behaviour becomes expensive when it turns into avoidable conflict, failed sales conversations, poor service, disengagement or lost capability. A strength only becomes useful when it can work with strengths that look completely different from its own.
