About Dikeledi Seleka

Dikeledi Seleka is the CEO of Dynamic Timz Coaching, a Johannesburg-based leadership development and business strategy firm she founded 12 years ago. Her work sits at the intersection of two questions most organisations struggle to answer: why do leaders fail their people, and why do entrepreneurs fail their businesses? Her answer to both is the same: character, not strategy, is the determining variable. Dikeledi grew up in a village in South Africa, the first-born child of a family that ran more than five businesses simultaneously. Leadership was not something she studied. It was the environment she grew up in - distributed, communal, and relentlessly practical. She carried that foundation into 12 years of entrepreneurship, including two years without a single client or income, during which she chose ethics over a paycheck when the system offered her the opposite. From that experience and over 15 years of corporate experience in the banking, she developed the LEAD with Ubuntu framework, a structured leadership development programme grounded in African philosophy and designed to cultivate courageous, generational, and responsible leadership. The framework has been deployed at Wits Business School (integrated into a post graduate diploma course), the University of Johannesburg and internationally. She has received confirmed interest from Norway and two universities in the United States (The University of Wisconsin-Madison Centre for Community and Nonprofit Studies and Chatham University, Pennsylvania). Dikeledi also delivers Success by Design, a strategy development programme for entrepreneurs from grassroots level to medium-sized enterprises generating over R150 million per annum. She works across the full spectrum: from informal traders in Lesotho to corporate enterprise and supplier development programmes at major South African institutions. She studied Civil Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and is currently pursuing QCTO accreditation for her strategy development programme.

Key message

My work challenges people to recognize the power they already possess and equips them to lead with intention, creating meaningful impact wherever they are. Leadership is not a title. It is a decision made every day by people at every level of an organisation. Ubuntu is not a cultural sentiment. It is a performance architecture that builds trust, accountability, and collective ownership. Character precedes strategy: the most valuable intervention any business can make is to develop the human being before refining the plan - because when people transform, businesses, organizations and communities, transform.
