Dr. Hubert Danso is the CEO and Chairman of Africa investor (Ai) Group, a pan-African institutional infrastructure investment platform he founded in 2002. For over two decades he has operated at the intersection of sovereign capital, continental policy, and global institutional investment — advising heads of state, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and development finance institutions on the architecture of large-scale infrastructure investment across Africa. He is the co-chair of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Africa Council, established by King Charles III, alongside James Mwangi of Equity Bank; Chairman of the African Sovereign Wealth and Pension Fund Leaders Forum; Chairman of the CFA New York Global Asset Owners' Advisory Council; Chairman of the African Union's Continental Business Network; and Chair of the African Green Infrastructure Investment Bank Advisory Board. He was instrumental in establishing the AU's 5% Agenda, which works to direct pension and sovereign wealth fund capital into investable African infrastructure. His landmark publication, Consequential Africa (2025–2050), sets out a continent-level architecture for transforming Africa from a development project marketplace into a mandate-aligned institutional investment destination. Dr. Danso holds law degrees from the University of Sussex and an honorary doctorate in Global Leadership from the European International University in France.
