Jay Atara is a former CFO and Corporate Treasurer who now works where leadership, governance, and human conscience meet. After a career built on financial discipline and board-level responsibility, a breakdown he describes as a calling redirected his life from performance and control towards a deeper question: not whether leaders are capable, but whether they are coherent. That question became a book. In Coherent Leaders, Jay argues that the leadership map drawn over the past century has stopped working. Climate pressure, artificial intelligence, generational change, and geopolitical instability have taken leaders into uncharted water, and the instincts that once served them now fail. He carries a second, quieter mission. Through his education venture he develops Swahili-language board and card games that teach children aged four to eleven literacy, numeracy, financial choices, and hope for the future, helping young people across rural and urban Africa understand money, careers, and consequences in ways that are culturally rooted and engaging.
