Mushambi Mutuma has spent 18 years inside technology change, not observing it from the sidelines but building, delivering and leading it. He co-founded Altivex, building the digital product lab from his coffee table into a team of around 45 before exiting the business shortly before the 2020 lockdown. He later became Head of Commerce and Head of Innovation at Accenture and directed an Africa-wide digital transformation strategy and rollout for Coca-Cola. Across that journey, one pattern kept repeating: organisations were buying powerful technology without becoming ready to use it. That experience now sits at the centre of Mushambi's work. He argues that competitive advantage does not come from possessing the newest technology. It comes from an organisation's ability to keep adapting to whatever comes next. His book, The Adaptability Code, turns that argument into five capabilities: foresight, resilience, curiosity, agility and care. Mushambi has worked with more than 40 organisations including Facebook, Salesforce, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Shell, Huawei, NTT DATA, PwC, Pfizer, UNESCO and many of South Africa's major banks and insurers. He is also the author of Tech Adjacent and currently serves as Managing Partner of Kairos Consulting Africa, advising senior leaders across Africa and the United States.
